Reinstated

I have had a lot going on lately.  Wow it’s been almost a month!   I think this was the longest I haven’t posted on ShootTokyo but life sometimes goes that way.  I have been super busy with some family things that needed my attention.  It just wasn’t

The Panasonic Lumix Smart Camera CM1

A few weeks ago Panasonic released the Lumix Smart Camera CM1 in France and Germany and is expanding to the UK.  I was lucky enough to find my way to one.    This is being positioned as a Smart Camera or a Compact Camera with Smartphone Technology.   It is a full

Constant Improvement

Looking back at yesterday’s images I posted a lot of the subtle charm of the camera is missing because I didn’t have a good location for shooting images of the camera so I needed to covert them to black and white and process a bit to get a good image.

Nikon F3 HP

One camera I have been looking to add to my collection is the Nikon F3 HP.   I have been looking around and finally saw one come up for sales online.  It was very reasonable for $420 with a 50mm f/1.4 and a 24mm f/2.8.  This has many more buttons than I was used to

The Leica C1

I was looking around online last week and found a Leica C1 for $90.   The condition of this little camera is absolutely amazing.  It is mint.  I even have the cool little plastic weather proof case it comes with.   The C1 was one of Leica’s first compact cameras

The Contax T3

I have been thinking for a while about picking up a compact film camera.   This is a cool little film camera. While my Leica is very small I sometimes just want a point and shoot and this was a great choice.   I can see myself starting to collect compacts.

The Ricoh GR IV Digital

I have been a big fan of the Ricoh GRD point and shoot cameras for a while.  Sometimes you don't want to take out a bigger camera or the situation just calls for a point and shoot.   The Ricoh cameras are perfect.  I expect this to always be in the bottom of my bag.
