I have been driving a lot lately and started listening to podcasts. I'm not sure why I never was into podcasts when they first came out but I am really digging them lately. I have been listing to a bunch on investing but the one I really have been enjoying is The Tim Ferris Show. Tim is the author of the 4 hour work week. He is a massively inspiring guy who surrounds himself with amazing people.

On his podcasts Tim has casual conversations with people like actor Jamie Foxx, Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger, Silicon Valley legend Marc Andreessen, Wired Co-Founder Kevin Kelly and hundreds of other really amazing people. The list of people he can access is impressive.

Through these conversations he deconstructs who they are and what makes them the way they are. What paths did they follow to arrive at where they are. His questions are insightful and an very interesting way to draw out details about people and the choices they have made in life and why. If anyone does interviews at work there is a lot to take away from these discussions. In general there is something for everyone in these podcasts.

My friend John was in Tokyo a few weeks back and he is always someone I pull inspiration from both professionally and personally. I try to always make time to catch up with him when we are on the same side of the world. It is a relationship I have had for years and one I really cherish. As I went to his blog to grab the url to link it here I found he wrote almost the same post. Nice to see we are thinking alike.

I needed to show him some of the cool sets that we had at work. I'm so happy to get to work in a creative and inspiring environment. I'l have a few more of these types of images to share in upcoming posts.

We decided to head from my office to Ebisu to shoot for a little while. I love the few blocks surrounding Ebisu station. The streets are often pretty quiet but packed with lots of little restaurants and bars that make for great scenes for photography.

It's nice to have someone else along to shoot photos of me. I don't have as many photos of myself as I would like and I enjoy adding a few action shots into my posts. Mostly I am shooting by myself so I don't often get these.

I need to shoot more vertical photos. I think they look very cool when view large. If you are reading my blog through Feedly, Flipboard, Google Newsstand, your favorite RSS reader or via email each time I post they are much smaller than here on ShootTokyo. On the blog the images are huge. I think it makes for very interesting viewing. If you haven't yet make sure you click through and check them out.

We had dinner at once of my favorite places in Ebisu named Sacra (1-6-5, Ebisunishi, Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan)

The food here is fantastic. What I like most of all about this place is it's pretty quiet. The second floor they have a few different sections that are more like living rooms than what you might expect in a restaurant. It makes for a nice quiet place to enjoy good food and good conversation.
