I have been on the road for 26 days now. I am really tired. The glamorous life on the road isn't all it is cracked up to be. I just want to get home and hug my family. I spend last weekend in Santa Monica. I spend most of Saturday in my hotel working on email. I was able to get out and do a little bit of shooting in Venice Beach in the evening but I really got to explore LA on Sunday with my friend Mark.
I walked around for a short bit on Sunday in Santa Monica before Mark picked me up.
Today's Configuration: Leica M9-P with various lenses and a Ricoh GR

We headed over to West Hollywood to check out Leica Store LA. This place is awesome.

They have a fantastic collection of photography books for sale...
as well as a lot of Leica cameras...
Seeing all of the books got me thinking they should be carrying my ShootTokyo Book. I spoke to the curator and we are in discussions on them carrying my book for sales at Leica LA!

Seeing Hollywood Boulevard was a bit of a disappointment. The entire strip was packed with people wanting you to pay them a dollar for you to take your photo with them. This one guy was really good doing a Harlem Globetrotters theme performance and getting kids to spin basketballs.

I did swing by High Voltage Tattoo, a.k.a. LA Ink, to check out the shop. It's a really neat shop and I enjoy that show...
The last leg of my trip put me in Anaheim for VIDCON 2014 the world's largest online video conference. Think ComicCon for Video. It was amazing to see the scale of this business.
There seemed to be a concert going on for 3 days straight...
There were fans of video creators lined up as far as you can see waiting to have their photographs taken together.
Sometimes waiting for hours for a 2 or 3 second photo opportunity.
There were also lots of great evening networking events for the industry people there.
I finally get to head back home tomorrow. I can't wait to get back. This is too long to be away from my family...
