One of the reasons I wanted to come to Hong Kong was to get a few new shirts and refresh my work shirts... One of my well dressed friends highly recommended A-Man Hing Cheong Tailors at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel (5 Connaught Road, Central, Hong Kong, +852 2522 3336). I love the look and feel of a nicely tailored suit.
It is a very interesting process. I show up on day 1 and picked out my fabric, materials for the inside of the jacket and sleeves of the jacket plus all of the options you want for pockets, buttons, cuffs and other details. The first fitting is the end of the day. There is a second fitting at the end of day 2 and a final fitting at the end of day 4. I am really looking forward to seeing the final suit. I imagine it will be very nice based on the initial fitting. I will probably order a few more and a sport coat while I am here as well as a bunch of shirts.
