All in Ebisu

Homebody

I have continued to focus on my guitar playing as of late.   I'm still not very good but it's something I am really enjoying.   I go to lessons once a week and try to practice for a least 30 minutes each day.  I can see slow and steady progress which is very satisfying.

Exploring Ebisu

We decided to head from my office to Ebisu to shoot for a little while.   I love the few blocks surrounding Ebisu station.  The streets are often pretty quiet but packed with lots of little restaurants and bars that make for great scenes for photography.

An Expensive Light Meter

In the first few week so shooting my Hasselblad I was really struggling to trust what my light meter was saying.  I was mostly shooting wide open.  On my light meter I would set my film speed and check what shutter speed matched my 2.8 aperture setting on my lens.

A busy end to the week

My week continued extremely busy.   I feel like I never ever stop.   People always comment to me that they don’t know how I am able to maintain my blogging and shooting schedule.  I find that the busier I am the more I am able to accomplish.

Wherever I May Roam

I always wonder if owning a car in Tokyo is a waste of money.   Parking is expensive anywhere you go.  It is expensive to park even at your apartment.    I don’t drive to work or to the airport.   I drive on weekends and sometimes it is only 1 of the days.
