Around Nakane
I grabbed my new Nikon F3 this morning and loaded it with a roll of Portra 400 and headed out for a walk around Jiyugaoka and Nakane to see what this camera is like. My initial reaction is it is super easy to use. Loading film is a breeze, focusing is simple, and I love having aperture priority. Given I always shoot wide open aperture priority is pretty useful for me. I love the cleanliness of construction sites in Tokyo...
Today's Configuration: Nikon F3 HP with a Nikkor 50mm 1/1.4 and a Nikkor 24mm f/2.8 shot on Portra 400 film.

I really don't understand why even in nice neighborhoods there are houses that are abandoned and disintegrating. There has to be a tax reason or some other reason why people are leaving these houses.

I like shooting at 24mm. I have been thinking about getting a 24mm for my Leicas. Sometimes 21mm is too wide and 28mm isn't quite wide enough.

These are my two favorite cones in Tokyo. Look at the determination of the owner. They are filled with cement, drilled into the cement. I can't figure out what all of the other junk on them is for.

How fast do you have to be going to flatten these poles. He flattened 3 of them. I kid you not 5 minutes later the accident scene was secured with cones. Check it out my Instagram stream!
