Oct 27 Good Morning Jiyugaoka

I love that the heat of Tokyo has finally left us and Autumn is here. I went for a nice walk this morning around Jiyugaoka to take some photos and pick up a drink at Starbucks. I order the same thing every time I got to Starbucks; a Grande Americano in a Venti cup. I am always perplexed by the massive amounts of confusion my seemingly simple order causes. I used to order a Grande Americano and ask them to fill it only 80% of the way but this seemed to paralyze whatever Starbucks Barista I encountered. I can only imagine they were trained that they must fill the cup all the way. Japan is a country of rules. I tried to no success for months and finally due to my continued inability to properly communicate that I wanted room for milk I started ordering a Grande Americano in a Venti cup. I believe this is the proper way to order a Grande size amount of espresso and a Grande size amount of water poured into a Venti cup. Now I seem to simply get a Grande Americano watered down with extra water so the Venti cup is filled up completely.

HELP:If anyone works at Starbucks Japan please give me the code words I am suppose to use for my order.

Coffee drama aside, I had a great photowalk. I was shooting my Leica M9-P with a Noctilux 50mm f/095. To me this is the ultimate camera/lens combination. If I only had one camera and lens for the rest of my life it would be this. I love shooting it and love the results I am able to get with it.
